Malwina the strawberry is struggling with the drought, her leaves are drooping and it is thirsty. The little plant can’t move, so it waits and hopes for improvement.
Rescue is at hand thanks to the passing caterpillar Humperdick, who has been everywhere and introduces Malwina to the universe of mushrooms – it chats with the porcini mushroom, dives into the realm of mushroom webs and, with the help of the audience, finally finds a way to make a suitable mushroom its friend. From now on, it provides the little plant with water and minerals and everyone can look forward to the next strawberry season.
The entertaining interactive play with object theatre and music provides an artistic insight into the world of mushrooms and their incredible life and work as the largest organism on earth. Science, environmental education and art interweave to create an entertaining excursion into the mysterious processes beneath our feet and in our everyday lives.
